Ann Fierro, CPA, RN
President

Bio

Ms. Fierro has been involved in healthcare since 1975 and specializes in the areas of operations, revenue enhancement, regulatory compliance, nursing practice enhancement, and hospital charge auditing. She began her healthcare career in critical care nursing. She completed her degree in Accounting while working as an RN and made the transition to Hospital Finance in 1985. Her responsibilities have involved ensuring regulatory compliance while maximizing the profitability of the corporation, corporate cash management, strategic rate setting, capital financing, and the planning and opening of new hospitals. She formed The Omega Consulting Group, Inc. in 1992, a firm that specialized in hands-on Lost Charge Recovery. She made a strategic decision to re-brand her company in 2007, emphasizing technology offerings and positioning it as a company with technology-enabled revenue cycle solutions for hospitals across the United States. Hence, Omega Technology Solutions was born.

Connie Perez
Director of Clinical Auditors

Bio

Ms. Perez began her healthcare career as an x-ray technician before pursuing her nursing degree.  As a registered nurse for over 20 years, her extensive clinical background includes cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, and hospice.  She has been auditing over ten years and directs the daily operations of the auditing team.

Vicente Arencibia
Chief Information Officer

Bio

Mr. Arencibia joined Omega Technology Solutions in November 2003 as Chief Information Officer. In this capacity he oversees and directs all Information Services functions for the company and its hospital clients, including Omega’s ChargeMASTER™ and OCExaminer expert systems. Mr. Arencibia brings over 20 years of experience at Palms West Hospital in Florida, most recently as Director of Information Systems. Born in Cuba, Mr. Arencibia became a Naturalized American Citizen in 1986 and holds a Bachelors in Business degree from Florida Atlantic University.

Director of Client Services

Bio

Mr. Ojeda joined Omega in 2011 and has held a number of different roles related to information technology in support of client work.  In 2020 he was promoted to the newly created position of Director of Client Services acting as the voice of the customer, ensuring client services meet expectations, and leading new clients through the onboarding process.

Ken Theis
Director of Project Management

Bio

As Director of Project Management, Mr. Theis directs the implementation, training and daily operations of the Project Management staff, interfacing with clients and executive management on a daily basis.  Mr. Theis has been with Omega Technology Solutions since 1993, starting part time and filling various roles while attending College and pursuing a career in audio engineering. He returned to Omega Technology Solutions in 2012 as a full time IT Business Development Associate where he was responsible for the processing of patient data, remittances, and CDM data before assuming the role of Director of Project Management.

Gissel Ibarra
Billing Manager

Bio

Gissel Ibarra has worked in the healthcare industry for over 24 years. Gissel began her career in the Billing Department at Omega on December 6th, 2000 where she received her revenue cycle training. She became the Project Manager for a large client and for the past six years has been the Billing Manager overseeing the Follow-Up Department and working in the IT Department – all at Omega. Originally from Cuba, Gissel has spent most of her life in South Florida.
